"Gus"

Dear Shela and Cliff,
We got home at 5 pm. Gus was a perfect gentleman. He let us know when he needed to stop, which was about every two hours. It sounds like we were the start of a very busy day on Onion Ave. We are taking turns and each trying to get a little rest. Glad to see the weights posted, Gus will get his full NuVet tab this morning. We started with ½ cup of the puppy food and he ate it all. We were all hungry when we got home last night but just gave a half portion to start. He goes in and out of his crate with his toys but does not want to be shut in the crate or left in a room by himself. We thought that we might try to sit and eat in the dining room with Gus in the kitchen. Gus was upset with that idea and let us know right away. Sheila had 7-12 and I have had the 12 – 7 shift. As you suggested chewing on the pigs ear for a few minutes provides a great deal of comfort.
Thanks again,

Dear Shela and Cliff,
Thank you so much for your continued interest and support. Gus is thriving in the Northwest! Crate training has gone very well. Gus has his Vet appointment on Friday, yes a week late but the best we could do. He is very smart and learns quickly. Sheila is working hard to keep the upper hand. Potty training seems to be going well with methods as recommended by Cliff in the manual. We will send pictures and weights after we see Vet on Friday.

We both love Sheila’s dog.
Gus weighed 53 lbs at 10 year. When should we switch to adult food?

A little update on Gus, he is doing great. Gus has the sweetest disposition of any dog I have ever had. Tomorrow Gus and I start a dog training class I am very excited I know he will do well as he probably will be the smartest dog there. I will send pictures later.

Thank you,
