This puppy is truly special! She is smart, playful, strong-willed yet very trainable.
Taking the Sherpa bag home with her was a perfect idea! She was able to be in the motel, in her bag, on the bed and was happy and quiet until nature calls every 4 hours or so. We continued that 3 more nights with the exception of a side table for her perch. She is happy in a wire crate with dividers in our big country kitchen tv area too. She tells us when she needs to go out and has learned a couple of our designated potty places already! No accidents!
Bella likes her outside kennel too. It is in a breezeway between the garage and house part covered with a perfect potty area under a huge cedar tree. It has granite rock and cedar debris making it easy to differentiate from the concrete and rug areas. She has an enclosed crate outside with a warm plate. Her food and water is there too and she is a good eater! Loves her puppy food and fast-track.
Of course, she has entered the wild biting everything phase which we are careful to allow her a balance of biting fun and knowing what is okay to bite or not, and when to stop. Lot's of chew toys helps!
She has known her name from the first moment, listened and stayed nearby when playing out for potty breaks or fun. Steve spends hours with her going to the shop, down to the mail or around the place digging trenches for watering new trees. She loves working with him, fetching and checking out our world. He also takes her to town or the office now and she has been in the Sherpa but not this coming week....she is too big! Met the vet for information share & shots Friday...dewormed this am! All good for now.
Well that is our update on our Bella.

Breeder's Note: The Sherpa is the same bag you use to carry a puppy on the airplane. Here at OwyheeStar we use the Sherpa to teach a puppy to settle after their bath and the prepare them for taking a flight. We also try to settle each pup in the bag before they leave for a road trip. We have found the bag to be very useful for transitioning puppies from here to their new home.
