Welcome to Stella's Home Page

Dear Cliff & Shela,
We arrived home on Whidbey island at 10:45 last evening. That was a marathon trip covering 1100+ miles but well worth it. We have decided on
the name "Stella" for our newest member of our family. She made the trip  just fine and was quite content. Last night she got Fran up just once to go potty. We keep her in a cage in our bedroom and she seemed to
acclimate well. We have not had an accident yet in the house. She is VERY people oriented.

We will send some more pictures in the near future.

Many blessings to both of you and thanks for a wonderful new companion..

Stella at her forever home!
Breeder's Note:
For those of you who feel that a 12 week old puppy is hard to incorporate into your family and train........take note.  They often adjust and train more easily.  And yes, when properly socialized by the breeder it is a snap to introduce them to other pets, children, friends, and family.
Nevertheless, we rarely have an older puppy available.
Hi Shela and Cliff:

It is a GREAT testament to you both about the socialization that you do
with your Weimie puppy's. Stella is adapting and bonding with us at a
very rapid pace. I am enclosing another picture of her for your
reference. She had a couple of "accidents" today but that is to be
expected. What is amazing is that she has adapted to the leash so
quickly. She is truly a LOVE SPONGE and is so affectionate with us already.

Thanks for everything.

Hi Shela and Cliff:

I thought you would get a laugh out loud of this blackmail picture Fran took
of me and Stella around Christmas. I was taking a ap and Fran snapped this
picture. Oh the indignity of it all.

Anyhow, I wanted to tell you that Stella had a current Giardia shot and it did not help at all. Your assessment of their effectiveness was demonstrated
here. It is not good and I am not sure we will pay for another round. It is great to chat with you via email as you and cliff are truly great weim lovers as we are.

Best regards,

Gil and Fran

Breeder's Note:  Giardia is a nasty protozoa that multiplies fast in a damp environment.  When ingested it reeks havoc on the intestines soon brining on bloody diarreha.  There is a vaccine to help protect against Giardia but from all we have heard this vaccine is not really that effective. In some settings it might be worth a try, however, with your Weim it is best to forego unecessary vaccinations.  Over vaccination may damage the immune system and eventually open the door for more serious problems.
